Crack the Code and Stuffed Animal Day!

Fourth graders had their first guidance class of the school year last week.  They worked together in a silent team building activity to crack Ms. Spaulding's secret code.  It involved a giant number pad, lots of pointing and gesturing, and some great group planning!

Our school wide Stuffed Animal Day celebration was a big hit!  Fourth graders loved sharing about their special friends during our morning meeting, reading with them in the afternoon, and playing games and connecting with peers.  The stuffed animals kept our class pet, Cappuccino, company during recess!

First Full Week

We had a wonderful first full week of fourth grade!  We spent time inside learning routines, playing math games, reading, and working on inspiring artwork to hang in our classroom.  We also spent a great deal of time outside studying nature with a writer's eye, playing silly games, eating together, and enjoying each other's company.
